No tours available

Visit Arran, which is one of Scotland’s most beautiful islands, and the wonderful Ayrshire Coast. With a remarkable diversity of landscapes, clear green seas, sandy beaches, mountains and lochs it is little wonder Arran is referred to as ‘Scotland in Minature’. With the influence of the Gulf Stream the climate is mild, a place where you will see palm trees around its 56 miles of coastline. We also include visits to the magnificent Culzean Castle, Troon and Glasgow.

Itinerary

Day 1: Early morning departure from North Wales and travel to our hotel in Troon. We stop en-route at the Rheged Centre, a grass roofed Lakeland heritage centre and gallery in a former quarry located near Penrith.

Day 2: It is easy to see why the Isle of Arran is often referred to as ‘Scotland in Miniature’, with its constantly changing landscape of highland glens and rugged mountains alongside sweeping sandy bays and picturesque coastal villages. Enjoy a scenic excursion around the island, experience some of Arran’s many unique and independent retailers, enjoy a visit to Brodick Castle & Gardens, before the late afternoon return ferry.

Day 3: Today enjoy the Ayrshire Coast at its best with a visit to the spectacular coastal setting of Culzean Castle, a Robert Adam 18th century masterpiece, before spending time in the lovely resort of Troon.

Day 4: A full day excursion to Glasgow, Scotland’s largest city. Enjoy a guided tour of the city by coach followed by time at leisure. Visit Glasgow Cathedral, Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum, George Square, Riverside Museum, Botanical Gardens or Kelvingrove Park or simply do some Shopping in the City Centre.
