Day 1: Early morning departure from North Wales and travel to Portsmouth for the short Wightlink Ferry crossing to Fishbourne, and on to the resort of Ryde for a 4-night stay at The Royal Esplanade Hotel.
Day 2: Walk in the footsteps of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert with a visit to the former royal residence of Osborne House. Explore the stately interiors and beautiful grounds leading down to the sea, with its own Swiss cottage imported for the royal children to play house in. This afternoon, continue to the lovely and unspoilt West Wight, from the charming port of Yarmouth, to the famous Needles Landmark – the most iconic scene on the island, and for the brave perhaps a closer view on the chairlift down to Alum Bay with its multi-coloured sand cliffs and beach below.
Day 3: Experience a nostalgic trip back to the golden age of steam on the Isle of Wight Steam Railway in beautifully restored carriages, for a view of the Island’s unspoilt countryside. Continue to the charming village of Godshill, with its thatched cottages, boutiques and tea rooms.
Day 4: A day at leisure to explore your coastal location in the bustling resort of Ryde, with a traditional pier and promenade, boutiques, great cafes and restaurants. The railway and bus stations are both close by to help explore the island or for something a little different, why not hop on the unique and amazing Hovercraft service which can whisk you across the Solent to Southsea in just 10 minutes!
Day 5: We depart the Isle of Wight and make the return ferry crossing to Portsmouth before completing our journey home to North Wales.
