Day 1: Travel to Holyhead for our 9.00am ferry crossing to Dublin. Upon arrival we disembark and continue our journey south to Waterford for a 4-night stay.
Take time to relax and make use of the hotel’s leisure facilities before your evening meal.
Day 2: Enjoy a morning at leisure in Waterford before we take an afternoon excursion to Wexford, the cornerstone of Ireland’s Ancient East. Steeped in heritage, dramatic landscapes and breath-taking views. Step back in time and wander the winding medieval streets in this Viking town. Discover some of Wexford’s interesting buildings, including the well-preserved Westgate Tower, a medieval gateway close to the grounds of the Sleskar Abbey. Take a stroll by the River Slaney and admire the colourful buildings which are dotted along the water’s edge.
Day 3: Full day at leisure in Waterford. Founded by Viking traders in 914, the city has an exciting medieval flavour and riverside bustle. Explore the history of the city from the Vikings to the Victorians, make time to visit the House of Waterford Crystal, the Museum of Treasures or the Bishop’s Palace.
This evening celebrate the New Year in style with a Gala Dinner followed by live band entertainment.
Day 4: After a leisurely breakfast enjoy a morning at leisure to recover from the previous evening’s celebrations. This afternoon we will take a short excursion to a mystery destination.
Day 5: We depart Waterford after breakfast and travel to Dublin. There will be free time before the 2.50pm return sailing to Holyhead.
