Itinerary

Day 1: Travel to Scotland with a stop at The Famous Blacksmiths Shop Museum, situated at the heart of Gretna Green village. It is the world-famous, historic home of the anvil wedding and has been at the centre of runaway love, since the Marriage Act of 1754. Inside the museum, you can contemplate marriage certificates that date back to 1754, the original wedding room that has the traditional and popular anvil, old carriages, and replicas of wedding dresses (admission extra). After some time at leisure, we complete the journey to the Winnock Hotel for a 3-night stay.

Day 2: This morning, we journey to Perth on the River Tay. Perth was one of the ancient capitals of Scotland between the 9th and 15th centuries. It was where Scotland's monarchs were once crowned. Explore the busy high street with its mix of shops or sit and watch the world go by at a riverside cafe. There is also Perth museum which showcases artifacts from Scottish history including the "Scone of Destiny" which has been returned to Scotland after 700 years.

This afternoon we continue to Stirling, where the skyline is dominated by its castle, towering over some of the most important battlefields of Scotland’s past. Stirling is one of Scotland's most interesting places to visit. From Stirling Castle to the Old Town Jail, this city is steeped in fascinating history and offers some of the most wonderful views across the Trossachs National Park.

Day 3: A full day’s tour to Edinburgh, there will be ample time to explore Scotland’s historic capital city with its imposing castle, Royal Mile, Princes Street and the Palace of Holyroodhouse, the official Scottish residence of the Monarch.

Day 4: Depart Scotland and return home to North Wales, stopping en-route at Gretna Green Shopping Outlet.
