Day1: Morning departure from North Wales, enjoy a scenic drive north to Aberdeen. Various stops will be made en-route before we arrive in the Highlands and the famous granite city of Aberdeen. Time to settle into your room before dinner.
Day 2: Spend the day at the Tall Ships event viewing the ships as they are docked in the Port of Aberdeen. The city has a long and dramatic relationship with the sea – from the earliest days of trading, fishing and shipbuilding to offshore energy.
More than 60 ships are expected to begin arriving from Saturday 19th July and these magnificent vessels are expected to attract hundreds of thousands of spectators to the city over the four-day event.
Day 3: We take a scenic tour into Royal Deeside stopping off in the pretty villages of Ballater and Braemar, well known for its links to the Royal family when they spend time at nearby Balmoral. Spend time in Ballater to visit the restored railway station. We return to the hotel for dinner.
Day 4: After breakfast we make the return journey southwards, stopping off at Gretna Green before arriving home late afternoon.
