Day 1: Early morning departure from North Wales and travel to the captivating medieval city of York, after checking in to our hotel the remainder of the day is free to do as you wish.
Day 2: A free day to explore historic York. Make your way through the medieval web of narrow streets to the immense, awe-inspiring York Minster. Don’t miss the remarkable Shambles, York’s most famous street, with overhanging timber-framed buildings, some dating back to the 14th century, and the ‘snickelways’ that lead off it.
Day 3: An excursion to the spa town of Harrogate, characterised by Victorian and Edwardian buildings that tower above the pavements. Stroll around the tree lined avenues and beautiful gardens or explore the many shopping possibilities. Rest your legs with a cup of tea and a slice of cake at the famous Betty’s Café Tea Rooms.
Day 4: (5 day tour only) Today we visit the unspoilt cathedral city of Ripon, with its imposing cathedral, fascinating museums and a bustling market square, it is truly a North Yorkshire gem. We continue to Thirsk, as well as being a traditional Yorkshire market town, Thirsk was also the home of renowned vet, James Herriot.
Final Day (4 and 5 day tour) – Enjoy a few hours at leisure before we depart at 3.00pm for our return journey home.
