Day 1 (Christmas Eve): Travel to Scotland with a stop at Gretna Green. Then to our hotel in the village of Drymen for a 3-night stay. Enjoy a welcome drinks reception on arrival followed by your evening meal and entertainment.
Day 2 (Christmas Day): Today we travel to Scotland’s largest city, Glasgow. The day is free to do some Christmas Shopping in the City Centre.
In the heart of Glasgow, the Christmas Market transforms George Square and St Enoch Square into a festive wonderland. The market spans both squares, each with its unique charm. St Enoch Square, one of Glasgow’s central points, is home to more than 50 Christmas chalets and traders from across the globe, selling an array of artisan products, crafts and high-quality food and drink. Buchanan Galleries is also located in the city centre and is home to over 80 big name stores from high street fashion to sportswear and other items.
This evening sit-down to a Traditional Christmas Dinner with all the trimmings followed by a visit from Father Christmas with a gift for all.
Day 3 (New Year’s Eve): A full day’s tour to Edinburgh and its Christmas Market, there will be ample time to explore Scotland’s historic capital city. An optional guided tour is available for £8.
Nestled in the heart of Edinburgh’s historic city centre, with stunning views of Edinburgh Castle, the Scott Monument, and the city’s iconic skyline, East Princes Street Gardens hosts the free to enter traditional Christmas Market. Featuring around 70 stalls with some of the best local and international producers selling everything from handmade gifts, bespoke products, to tasty treats and delicious drinks. East Princes Street Gardens will also be home to the Big Wheel, Scotland’s largest ferris-wheel standing at 46m tall, offering a unique perspective of the city. The magical Santa Train will also be travelling through an illuminated winter wonderland, with an exciting selection of rides.
Celebrate ‘Hogmanay’ this evening with a Traditional Scottish Dinner followed by entertainment.
Day 4: After breakfast we depart Scotland and return home to North Wales stopping en-route at Gretna Green Shopping Outlet.
