Blackpool is famous as a fun-filled seaside destination. Now, thanks to a multi-million-pound regeneration of the sea front, the town has a modern, contemporary feel that’s attracting many first-time visitors.

Here’s a great weekend break that combines all the fun of one of the UK’s top seaside destinations with the world famous Illuminations. The sort of spectacle that everyone should see at least once, Blackpool Illuminations enthral millions of visitors every year. The greatest free light show on earth has been a major part of Blackpool’s attraction since 1879 when they were described as ‘Artificial Sunshine’.

Blackpool’s annual Illuminations display has once again been extended by two months, shining nightly from 1 September 2023 to 1 January 2024.

Itinerary

Day 1: Depart North Wales travel to Blackpool, arriving early afternoon. The remainder of the day is free to do as you wish. This evening enjoy your 5-course evening meal followed by entertainment at the hotel.

Day 2: After breakfast, the day is free to do as you wish in Blackpool. Head to the top of Blackpool Tower for stunning panoramic views and the famous ‘look down’ through the reinforced glass floor. The Pleasure Beach offers 125 theme park rides, explore the famous piers or take a walk along the promenade. Another 5-course meal followed by entertainment at the hotel this evening.

Day 3: Enjoy some time at leisure in Blackpool before we depart at 3.00pm and make the return journey to North Wales.
