Day 1: Thursday 17 July 2025 - Travel to Hull
Depart North Wales and travel to York. Enjoy some time at leisure in this historic city before we continue to Hull for our overnight ferry crossing to Rotterdam. Tonight relax and enjoy the on-board entertainment.
Day 2: Friday 18 July 2025 - Aachen
On arrival in Rotterdam we disembark the ferry and travel to our hotel in Aachen for a 3-night stay. The remainder of the day is free in the historic city of Aachen, where you have time to explore the stunning old town. Aachen is famous for its magnificent cathedral and the Elisenbrunnen fountain, which is also the symbol of the town.
Day 3: Saturday 19 July 2025 – Maastricht & André Rieu
Today, spend some free time in Aachen before travelling to Maastricht, the hometown of Andre Rieu. Start this special day, by soaking in the atmosphere. A gathering of likeminded fans will create a carnival atmosphere in the historic centre and in particular, Stokstraat Quarter. Nearly all in attendance will have descended on South Holland from all corners of the globe to catch a glimpse of Rieu and his phenomenal orchestra. Tonight, you can enjoy your dinner at leisure in one of Maastricht’s fabulous restaurants, and then the long-awaited concert will begin at 20:00.
Settle into your Category 3 seats and immerse yourself in the ambience. Instantaneously, you will be swept up in the special aura that will build in the open-air theatre as the buzz of excitement and anticipation accompanies the tuning of the instruments, then after a touch of tranquility, the euphoria will be set in motion as the ‘king of the Waltz’ enters the stage... Afterwards, return to the hotel in Aachen.
Day 4: Sunday 20 July 2025 - Monschau
Today, enjoy a relaxing drive through the stunning scenery of the Eiffel Mountains on the way to the picturesque village of Monschau. Spend some free time exploring this town, famous for its half-timbered buildings overlooked by a medieval castle.
Day 5: Monday 21 July 2025 – Antwerp & Travel to Rotterdam
We depart Aachen and travel to Antwerp. There will be time at leisure to discover this fashionable yet cultural city, the second largest in Belgium. It is renowned for being the diamond capital of the world with various attractions and activities to be explored. Afterwards, we make our way back to the Europort in Rotterdam for our overnight sailing to Hull. Enjoy another evening of entertainment on the ferry.
Day 6: Tuesday 22 July 2025 - Return Home
We disembark our ferry in Hull and make the return journey to North Wales, stopping en-route in Chester.
