Grand Hotel Blackpool
Our brand-new entertainment break celebrates the eclectic blend of rhythm and blues, soul, funk, gospel and pop that is Motown. Forged in ’60’s and ’70’s Detroit, the hit record-label caused a sensation, crossing cultural divides and launching superstars such as The Jackson 5, Diana Ross and The Supremes, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye and many more.
To get us warmed up and the party started, on Friday we enjoy an evening dedicated to the best of ‘60s and Soul with the talented keyboard player and singer Chris and Gabi, members of Relative Cool. The duo will be accompanied by a DJ who will be playing the best tracks from the swinging ’60s.
On Saturday night a 5-piece band ‘Relative Cool’, featuring lead female vocals, guitar, bass, drums and keys, will perform some of Motown’s best-known hits that are sure to get you singing along and up on the dancefloor. There is also a DJ to keep the party going well into the night.
There is also an acoustic ’60s sing-along session on Saturday afternoon. So there is no need to leave the hotel if the weather outside is blustery.
Included in the price are two drinks vouchers per person per night which can be redeemed at the function suite bar during the evening entertainment.
