Day 1: Travel to Dover to catch the ferry for a short crossing to Calais and then on to the historic town of Lisieux in Normandy to stay overnight at the Grand Hotel de L'Esperance, Lisieux (3 stars).
Day 2: We continue our journey to Concarneau, on the way, we visit the busy port town of St Malo.
Day 3: A free day to enjoy the attractions of Concarneau. The old walled town is one of the best examples in the country, with its narrow streets full of shops and restaurants. The lively harbour and wide beaches are other attractions to experience.
Day 4: Visit the historic town of Quimper. With its distinctive wooden houses and beautiful cathedral, the town is a favourite among visitors. We continue along the attractive "Cote de Cornouaille" coast to visit the seaside town of Douarnenez, immortalized by Meic Stevens in his famous song of the same name. This area is famous for its cider, and we conclude the day with a visit to nearby Ergue Gubaric, a cider farm, where you’ll have the opportunity to taste the product. (Entry included)
Day 5: Today we visit the amazing Carnac Stones, a thousand years older than Stonehenge, the hundreds of stones along the seashore are an unforgettable sight. Then on to the heart of the Breton countryside to the Carhaix - Plouguer area, where you can sample the old language, the culture and of course the cider.
Day 6: We say goodbye to Concarneau and travel back to Lisieux for our overnight stop. On the way we get to visit the capital of Brittany, Rennes. Pause, and enjoy a glass of wine on the famous Rue St Michel immortalized by Meic Stevens in another of his songs.
Day 7: Travel back to Calais to catch the return ferry crossing, upon arrival in Dover we complete the journey home.
