Day 1: Morning departure from North Wales and travel to Stratford-upon-Avon. Enjoy a few hours at leisure to explore the town. There’s plenty to do, discover more about Shakespeare’s life with a visit to his birthplace in the centre of town which provides an insight into what shaped the great man. Visit Anne Hathaway’s Cottage or his final resting place at Holy Trinity Church. Afterwards we continue to our hotel for a 3-night stay.
Day 2: Today we travel to Oxford, City of Spires, famous the world over with its exquisite architecture. Enjoy time at leisure in this majestic university city. There are numerous attractions to visit including museums or the Oxford Botanic Garden.
Alternatively, join the coach for a visit to Blenheim Palace, the magnificent home of the Dukes of Marlborough and the birthplace and resting place of Sir Winston Churchill (admission extra).
Day 3: Enjoy a leisurely morning at the hotel. Relax and make use of the hotel’s leisure facilities or take a walk in the hotel grounds. Sit-down to a 3-course lunch at the hotel before we depart mid-afternoon for the journey to the Spectacle of Lights at Sudeley Castle Gardens.
Explore the beautiful new night-time trail around Sudeley Castle’s stunning grounds, marvelling at the majestic trees and romantic ruins all lit under the stars. After you have been around the magical lights there is a chance for you to explore the hot food and drink on offer in the Castle Terrace.
Day 4: After breakfast we depart the hotel and travel to Birmingham city centre, enjoy some free time to do as you wish. Birmingham is home to a network of canals, many of which are now lined with trendy cafes and bars. In the city centre is the Bullring Shopping Centre and the largest Primark store in the country. The Frankfurt Christmas Market will also return to Birmingham city centre in 2024. The Frankfurt Market offers a wide range of products. We will depart at 3.00pm and make the return journey to North Wales.
