Day 1: Monday 30 December 2024
Morning departure from North Wales and travel to Scotland with a stop at Gretna Green. Then to our hotel in the village of Drymen for a 3-night stay. Afternoon Tea will be served on arrival. Tonight sit down to a 3-course dinner, followed by an evening of song and dance with the fantastic live singer and guitarist, Al Mitchell.
Day 2: New Year’s Eve – Tuesday 31 December 2024
After a hearty Scottish cooked breakfast, we take a half-day excursion to Stirling, where the skyline is dominated by its castle, towering over some of the most important battlefields of Scotland’s past. Stirling is one of Scotland's most interesting places to visit. From Stirling Castle to the Old Town Jail, this city is steeped in fascinating history and offers some of the most wonderful views across the Trossachs National Park. We return to the hotel for a Full Afternoon Tea and to prepare for tonight’s New Year festivities.
This evening, celebrate the New Year in style!! Enjoy pre-dinner drinks with a piper, before being piped in for dinner. Sit down to a spectacular 4-course New Year's Gala Dinner followed by a live Ceilidh Band and Disco which will keep you dancing to the wee small hours.
Day 3: New Year’s Day – Wednesday 1 January 2025
This morning, enjoy a leisurely brunch, which is served till 12.00pm. This afternoon we take a short excursion to the picture-postcard, conservation village of Luss. Located on the western shore of Loch Lomond it has a rich history dating back to medieval times. Head to the end of the pier to enjoy the spectacular view of Ben Lomond or choose from a range of short walking trails which explore the village.
We return to the hotel in time for this evening’s 3-course dinner, followed by entertainment by a live singer.
Day 4: Thursday 2 January 2025
After a final full Scottish breakfast, we bid farewell with a "Hot Toddy" on departure before making the return journey home to North Wales.
