Itinerary

Day 1 - 22 May 2025: Depart Wales

Travel to Holyhead for the 9.00am ferry crossing. On arrival in Dublin at lunch time take a scenic drive across country stopping off at the pretty town of Cashel in County Tipperary for a comfort stop before carrying onto the beautiful Bantry Bay and the Westlodge Hotel. There will be ample time to settle in before dinner this evening.

Day 2 - 23 May 2025: Mizen Head and Bantry House

After a hearty Irish breakfast enjoy a morning drive to Mizen Head, Ireland’s most south westerly point, with dramatic cliffs for an unbelievable view. Walk on the Arched Bridge, visit the former signal station, light house and see the cute seal colony. This afternoon we visit Bantry House & Gardens, one of Ireland’s hidden gems. Return to the hotel in time for dinner.

Day 3 - 24 May 2025: Garnish Island

Enjoy a short drive over to the village of Glengarriff, we take a pleasant morning boat excursion to Garnish Island, a small island garden located in the sheltered harbour of Bantry Bay, known to horticulturists and lovers of trees and shrubs around the world.

Day 4 - 25 May 2025: Beara Peninsula

After a leisurely breakfast take a scenic tour around the Beara Peninsula, enjoy this outstanding and dramatic coastal scenery. We return to Bantry at lunch time where there will be time to stroll through this pretty town full of Irish charm and Character. Dinner this evening.

Day 5 - 26 May 2025: Return Home

Say farewell to your hosts this morning and make the return journey to Dublin for the 2.45pm afternoon ferry back to Holyhead.
