Day 1: Depart North Wales and travel south to our hotel in Bournemouth for a 4-night stay at the Hermitage Hotel.
Day 2: Athelhampton House & Gardens and Dorchester
This morning, we unveil 500 years of captivating tales during a private guided tour at Athelhampton House. Marvel at original hammer-beam roofs, finely furnished rooms and chart the evolution from Tudor manor to Edwardian family home.
Meander through the meticulously crafted, award-winning and Grade 1 listed gardens, including 12 world-famous topiary yew pyramids, quaint ponds and playful fountains. Hear stories of the many eccentric occupants and unravel the captivating narrative of this remarkable treasure trove.
This afternoon we continue to the historic market town of Dorchester. With its elegant 18th century houses, broad walks and bustling shopping streets, Dorchester has much to offer.
Day 3: Beaulieu
Enjoy a full day visit to the remarkable village of Beaulieu, which is home to 8 distinct experiences - step into the National Motor Museum, home to a remarkable collection of 250 vintage vehicles. Wander through the atmospheric ruins of the village Abbey, tracing its medieval heritage. Uncover The World of Top Gear, a Secret Army Exhibition, a monorail and veteran bus.
Traverse the opulent halls of Palace House, home of the Montagues since 1538 and one of the first historic houses opened to the public. Meander through the meticulously manicured gardens, where fragrant blooms and serene vistas provide a tranquil backdrop to your jam-packed day in Beaulieu.
Day 4: Poole Harbour & Islands Cruise with Fish & Chips
Drink in the spectacular views as you cruise through one of the world’s largest natural harbours and along the start of the Jurassic Heritage Coast. Pass by Brownsea Island, Sandbanks Peninsula and Studland Bay, each brought to life with entertaining live commentary from your Sea Captain.
Feel the refreshing sea breeze from the open deck or relax in the lower saloon, with booth seating and a fully licensed bar. Tuck into a fish and chips lunch onboard, the nation’s favourite dish and best enjoyed with a view of the sea. Afterwards enjoy some time at leisure in Poole Harbour.
Day 5: We depart the south coast and make our way home to North Wales.
