Day 1: Depart North Wales and journey south to Great Yarmouth and a 4-night stay at the Prom Hotel.
Day 2: This morning, we travel to the beautiful Sandringham Royal Estate – the private home to five generations of British monarchs.
This country retreat was much-loved by Her Majesty The Queen Elizabeth II and is managed to an exceptionally high standard for the enjoyment of not only the Royal Family, but the thousands of visitors who flock here year after year. The main ground floor rooms, used by the Royal Family, are filled with treasured ornaments, splendid portraits and elaborate furniture.
The house is set in stunning landscaped gardens and remains much as it was in Edwardian times. Don’t miss the fascinating museum and the collection of vintage and recently retired royal motor cars.
Afterwards, we continue to the Thursford and visit Thursford Collection, home to the world's largest collection of steam engines and musical organs.
Day 3: At leisure in Great Yarmouth, which is home to glorious sandy beaches that stretch for miles and is a perfect area to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. These sandy beaches are joined with the Marine Parade and promenade that provide for a perfect calming walk. The Model Village is amongst many attractions that Great Yarmouth has to offer, other attractions include, the spectacular Sea life centre and the Hippodrome Circus, which is one of the longest serving circus acts in England.
For those who have an interest in history, Great Yarmouth offers the Nelson Museum and the preserved Row Houses, both are unique to Great Yarmouth. If you’re looking for some old-fashioned fun, look no further than the Merrivale Old Penny Arcade. Try your luck against these old Victorian era games by purchasing a bag of old pennies. Finally, situated in the impressive, award-winning landscaped gardens is the Merrivale Model Village illuminations, which is Great Yarmouth’s most iconic attraction.
Day 4: This morning, we travel to historic Norwich, the most complete medieval city in the UK, with a stunning Norman Cathedral and Castle, and ancient walls. Stroll along the cobblestoned lanes and alleys, and you’ll soon discover a flourishing arts scene, fantastic high street and independent shops, a quaint covered market, and many cafés.
This afternoon we continue to Wroxham, where you board your boat for a relaxing cruise on the Norfolk Broads. Designated a national park with over 125 miles of waterways, beautiful countryside and charming villages, soak up the scenery from a unique perspective.
Day 5: After breakfast we depart and make the return journey to North Wales.
