Day 1: Hampton Court Palace & Gardens
Early morning departure from North Wales and travel to London to start our visit at one of the best-known gardens in the world: Hampton Court Palace & Gardens, the former home of flamboyant King Henry VIII. Discover Henry’s enormous Tudor kitchens, get lost (and hopefully found) in the world’s oldest puzzle maze and great vine (submitted to the Guinness World Record Book in 2005), and learn all about your surroundings from the costumed tour guides. Hampton Court Palace is also home to a huge variety of wildlife, including the descendants of Henry VIII’s deer herd.
Afterwards, we travel to our hotel in central London for a 1-night stay. Bed & Breakfast.
Day 2: Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew
After breakfast, it’s off to Kew Gardens for a full day to explore this world-famous attraction. With more than 130 hectares of landscapes and gardens, tropical glasshouses, giant water lily pools, a treetop walkway and lake, it’s no wonder that Kew is a firm favourite with groups of all ages. When it’s time for lunch, there’s a choice of four cafes and restaurants.
Afterwards, we make the return journey home to North Wales.
